ic2patcher-2.0.7.jar is not working with the latest version of IC2.

Using IC2, industrialcraft-2-2.8.222-ex112.jar and ic2patcher-2.0.7.jar causes minecraft to crash when trying to launch the selected version. It does not seem to detect this version of IC2.

The logs specifically state:
[main/FATAL] [IC2-Patcher/IC2VersionExtraction]: No IC2 was found in the mods folder. Is IC2 Installed? This error will cause a crash. [main/ERROR] [LaunchWrapper]: Unable to launch

This only happens when adding the patcher to the modlist.

Could you provide the full log and information like what OS you are using / Which MC Launcher / Forge version.
I still can't reproduce this issue with IC2 From the CurseForge on my side >.>

Here is the log when adding the patcher to my modlist. I'm using Windows 10, Java launcher. forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2859-installer.jar which I believe is the latest Forge installer for 1.12.2.

So few things, first of all, I would highly recommend updating Forge to 2860 (There is one newer version than what you have, no idea why 2859 is it still recommended however), which fixes a major exploit that allowed for RCE (Remote Code Execution).

Second of all, do you have by any chance IC2 in a 1.12.2 folder inside of the mods folder?

Hey thanks I will update Forge. Yes I do have IC2 in a 1.12.2 folder along with all of the other mods.

EDIT Moving everything out of the folder seems to work now! Thanks very much for the help.

Glad I could help! I will however implement a fix later on to make it work when ic2 is in 1.12.2 folder 🙃
