What happened?

The screenshot attached shows what I mean. Before you ask, yes I turned off both shaders and the physics mod and went into a new world before reporting this. I do not have any other mods that would affect their swimming animation. Perhaps it is just the way it was meant to be and I do not like it, but just in case it is really an issue, the hippocampi do not go below the water, but instead sort of hover above it 90% of the time, as shown. If this could be fixed I would be forever grateful. Thanks for reading!
