Can't repair or replace tool parts.

I have tried to use the latest versions of both Iguana Tweaks and Tinkers Construct. With the newest versions I can't repair or replace any part of my tools. I have tried many combinations of different parts to see if that was it but it does't change anything.

Just out of curiosity since it's come up before, what does your mod list look like? I know you have TiC and ITT, but do you by any chance have Tinkers' Modifiers?

commented

Yes I have tinkers modifiers.

Disabling tinkers modifiers makes iguana tweaks work properly.

I have a feeling it's because of how they implement their modifier overrides using the default configuration. They remove the repair modifier and add a new instance of one. The problem with this is that the collection of repair materials stored within the original repair modifier are lost when the new one is created, thus breaking the ability to repair your tools.

Oh okay makes sense. Thank you for your help and your time. Glad you knew what was up.

while we are talking do you know why the tools say Incorrect data and when you place them in the crafting square they don't fix?

Tinkers' Modifiers developer here, the main problem is repairing is handled by a modifier (ModToolRepair) and when people clear all the modifiers that gets cleared too. The solution is just to add ModToolRepair (It takes no arguments, so just use the class tag), and that should fix it
