when i level up a tool it says "THIS TOOL HAS INCORRECT DATA
Place this tool in a crafting window to update it"
now i've done this many times in different types of 'crafting windows' but it wont work (btw only the +500 durability/diamond and +50%durability/emerald modifiers do this)

One of the players on my server just recently got this "Incorrect Data" also. As far as I can tell the config files are synced and placing it in the crafting grid has not worked for the player. I can verify the modifiers if needed.

Update: Placing in crafting grid did fix the "THIS TOOL HAS INCORRECT DATA" ... BUT... it set the XP to 0 and the tool no longer accumulates XP when used. I had this happen with 3-4 tools that I recovered after dying in the Nether from my gravestone.
