Most of the messages in the chat upon weapon/tool upgrade seem more fitting to pickaxes, swords, axes, and such, but not so much for bows, arrows, and such. It's odd to imagine polishing the "blade" of a longbow, for example. Perhaps have some tool-specific ones, that can be customized in a config file?

Along a similar thought, being able to blacklist certain modifiers from being awarded upon levelling a specific tool type, such as Life Steal or Sharpness for ranged weaponry (which as far as I know is non-functional for these), or Auto-Smelt for a Scythe.
