So if I have a Hallowed Gem in my 1-7th hotbar slot, or any other inventory slot, I can hold shift and click on it to send it to the Gem slot of the Imbuing Table GUI. However, putting it in exactly the 9th (far bottom right) slot of the hotbar, means I cannot do this, shift-clicking does nothing.
The same applies for enchanted books and tools, they won't be shift-clicked to the right slot (or any at all) if in the 9th slot of the hotbar.
This is independent of stack size, hotbar selector location, and only applies in the Imbuing Table GUI (I can shift-click Hallowed Gems into the Crafting Table GUI or Maps into the Cartography Table GUI from the 9th slot for example).
I shift+click the 9th slot's gem into the GUI even if there are already gems in the table, either
One interesting thing I noticed is if I fill my entire inventory with one (or more) hallowed gems in each slot, and I shift+click twice quickly on the single gem in the 9th slot, it sends all the other gems to the gem slot. This does not happen with any other slot's gems when I double-click while holding shift, as the first click sends only that gem to the correct slot.
While I originally found the bug in a heavily modded environment, the bug exists with only the latest versions of Neoforge, Illager Invasion, and Puzzles Lib installed.

Thanks, this is fixed in the newer mod versions for modern MC versions. I don’t think I’ll backport something this minor. 😅
