IE keeps crashing Minecraft for me (Intel G45/G3 Graphics)

Game Crashes when trying to load Immersive Engineering, tried loading only it same result.

I've tested with the Sevtech: Ages, Skyfactory 3, NFINT Skyblock, and Modern Skyblock 3 modpacks AND with only IE and it's dependency. Error details are from IE (and dependency) only.

Intel has abandoned it since windows 7

That's probably why. We use some slightly modern OpenGL features that your GPU doesn't seem to support. They shouldn't be enabled when the GPU does not support them, but that check appears to be broken (it's in vanilla code). If I remember I'll add a config option to forcefully disable it.

I hope you do remember to add it, IE is used in a number of modpacks and it's IE that is KOing me at this time.

please install a more recent version of java 8 (not any newer java, as it is currently incomaptible with forge) and configure your game client to use it, build 25 is years old and known for this kind of issues, i don't understand why mojang never updated it

make sure you download the 64bit version of java, as the online installer downloaded via browser soemtimes mistakes your PC as runnung 32bit becasue of the browser only running on 32bit!

if you are running twitch launcher for minecraft, make sure you check if the settings of your launcher stay after you changed them, depending on when and where you edited, the twitch launcher will override it eventually

I did, I installed what Oracle provided here: https://java.com/en/download/ I installed it today. I reinstalled windows today so everything is up to date on my system. This issue though has been a problem for a while now though. It is also 64bit. This is a issue through both twitch and normal launchers.

and configure your game client to use it

you have to change your MC profile to actually use the system JRE instead of the bundled from minecraft

i can't quite see the crash in the log, also please concider for the future posting them as a pastebin link or similar, having this walls of text makes the issue unreadable

isn't there any crash report in the crashlogs folder being generated?

in that case the crashlog from the JRE would be helpfull but i acn not tell you right now where it is

make sure you install graphics drivers properly, don't trust automatic windows update delivered drivers they tempt to be quite outdated sometimes

It's windows 7, I have my drivers fully updated, Windows 10 doesn't properly supported my graphics card and Intel has abandoned it since windows 7. And I don't see a Crashlog folder for minecraft.

Also the crash seems to occur at Pre-initialization of IE.

i'll leave it to either Malte or BluSunrize to take on this further as i may have overseens something obvious

but from searching for similar issues i always came around driver issues and some topics about data execution prevention knocking down java

cn you tell us the exact type of your graphics card, i found some topics hinting it might not support some features required to run minecraft properly, maybe IE is just triggering it?
