Trying to play single player and I crash with forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2847 every time i try to hit a block in survival. doesn't happen in creative though. not playing with any other mods

I tried to run it with all versions ImmersiveEngineering-0.12-87- up to version 92 as well. Tried to run them with older versions of forge too same thing. Tried running on default mc java version as well as latest 231 and older java 221.
