Metal Press doesn't require conveyor belts to assamble (RTFM doesn't list the conveyors and doesn't show them being in the blueprint either).

When the Metal Press is assambled, the part where conveyors are displayed (in the multiblock structure) can have blocks placed in that same space where the conveyor is being displayed.
Metal Press doesn't have any pull and ingots just linger on top of the "fake" conveyor. (They aren't pulling from chests either)
