Description of the issue:

I have an External Heater (fully powered) hooked up to a Vanilla Minecraft Furnace on a server (Gearhex if it matters--mc.gearhex.net). It works at this point as intended. However, if I log out, wait a few hours, and log back in and attempt to put an item in the furnace, it disappears and the GUI for the furnace disappears too (as if I pressed the ESC button on my keyboard). My item(s) I attempted to smelt are nowhere to be found.

Additionally, if I run far away from the External Heater (such that the chunk it's in is unloaded) then return to the External Heater and try to smelt something, that something gets deleted in the same way.

Crashlog:

No crash to report. Just missing items.

Cannot reproduce locally in a creative testing world with the mod by itself or with the entire modpack. Can only reproduce in a server environment.
