Unexpected crash with Immersive Engineering fluid pipes and XNet

Description of the issue:
I had a few garden cloches, fluid pump on a water source with fluid pipes, and connected a XNet controller to control item, energy and fluid flow. It worked fine until I connected a tank from Cyclic onto the fluid pipes with the water, which crashed the server and created a ticking block.
I've reproduced it in a singleplayer world too. (seen below) It happens as soon as there's a tank connected to the fluid pipe and another on the XNet connector, and the XNet controller extracts fluids from the fluid pipe, and inserts into any other fluid sink.

Apparently this was already reported in XNet issues.
