Strange Connectivity between walls and the Engineer's Circuit Table and Workbench

Description of the issue:

When placing an Engineer's Circuit Table or Engineer's Workbench next to walls the table will break one of the walls without dropping the wall and then break itself. Interestingly this behavior is not observed when placing the table and then the walls.

(Note the video demonstrates this issue in a modpack but I also tested it in a vacuum with just IE)
