[BUG] Precision assembler does not accept input from hoppers or conveyors

Describe the bug
Precision assembler does not accept input from hoppers or from Immersive engineering conveyor belts. I think this is a bug, otherwise it needs extra documentation to make clear how items are supposed to be put into the machine
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Place a block
- Wait for the block to do things
- See the block doing its things
- Actually it doesn't
Expected behavior
I expected the blue input port on the machine to accept ingredients from hoppers or conveyor belts. I also hoped I would be able to auto-input the precision tools from the input port or some other location on the machine. I don't yet understand how to use inserters so I haven't tested whether or not they can input items, however if the machine is meant to only work with inserters the manual entry should probably say that. Also, it would be good to clarify whether the precision tools are meant to be automatically input or not.
Screenshots or GIFs
Add screenshots of animated GIFs (even better) of the problem (if it is a visual glitch).
Logs
Add game logs (logs/latest.log and crash log (if exists) ).
Environment
- OS: Windows 11
- Minecraft version: 1.12.2
- Forge version: 14.23.5.2860
- Immersive Intelligence version: 0.2.1
- Immersive Engineering version: 0.12.98
If you have other mods installed, it would be nice if you send a list of them too (maybe it's not II's fault after all) ^^.
There are many other mods installed however I did check that hoppers and IE conveyors can input into other inventories.
Edit: Just noticed there is partial overlap with closed bug #108 specifically that tools can't be input automatically. It still would be good to clarify whether this is intended behavior.
