when i drag and drop midi files into the melody page the title appears but is unplayable and has a red x at the bottom

To Reproduce
I am dragging the files from the downloaded section in files to the melody page in Minecraft.

Expected behavior
the title appears under my gamertag in the page but when you click it, it does not play and a red x appears.

Additional context
i have tried dragging the example midi file "bloody_tears" into the page the same way and it does the same thing. i am using the 1.18.2 version with the immersive engineering modpack installed.
