Pixelart option incorrectly infers picture resolution from first row of pixels

When selecting a picture which contains long lines of single colored pixels on the top row, the "pixelart" option sets the resolution incorrectly.

To Reproduce
Upload a custom painting using a picture which has several long lines of same colored pixels in the top row.

Expected behavior
The picture will render with a resolution lower than required.
