About joining armored trains
Can you add something very interesting to the human railway system: armored trains for war purposes. The armored train has a very pronounced steampunk aesthetic, very close to a land battleship, which in my opinion is very interesting
No more stock will be added to base mod and there is no plans on implementing this.
This is a bit regrettable. I hope that in the future there will be modules that will allow the production of armored trains. After all, this type of war machine is very magnificent and spectacular

Anyone can already create their own models, including armored trains, for IR resource packs. They just won't be packaged with the IR mod itself. Regardless, this is not the place to suggest new models as the suggestion template says:
"This template is not for requesting additional models of locomotives, cars, or other rolling stock; those requests should be taken to the Immersive Railroading Discord channel under #suggestions."

As far as I know there's no definite yes/no to usable weapons on locomotives or cars in IR. It's definitely not a priority in either case, but it's not appropriate to say that something has been ruled out entirely unless explicitly said so.

And as I said before, anyone can already add an armored locomotive/train design using a resource pack. If usable weapons on a locomotive or car is what you are suggesting, it would be best to create a ticket specifically for that feature and describe how you think it should be implemented.
