Increase distance lever can be placed away from switch

In most cases, when I lay down a switch on an angle, I have to dig under the track near the throwbar in order for it to work since it won't work even if it is right beside. I have a case where two switches close to each other and when I dig under the one switch to place the lever, it destroys the other switch.
