Suggestion: Overhauled Turntable Concept

An Overhaul to the Turntable, something more avid fans of IR have been thinking about, could be fitting the mentions of an overhauled tier system for machines and crafting, that has been mentioned on the Discord.
These are some suggestions mentioned within the IR Discord, by Myself, being revised and brought here, at the suggestion of user "WrongWeekend".
Description:
The Selection for the Visual Style of the Turntable could be similar to the functionality of selecting a Ballast Texture, adding an option for "Table Style", and selecting from a menu of in-game blocks. This allows Customization of the Turntable, or at least one variation of the turntable.
For the Turntable itself, having a block/model underneath the Track could also be as simple as adding new recipes in the Basin, basically "Table Parts", which allows not only for the game to have some complexity in crafting such a large item, but allows content creators to model their own visual turntable parts, and make custom variations.
The way I see it is having to cast "Turntable Ends" and "Turntable Segments", having the placed turntable require these parts depending on the overall style and size of the turntable, similar to how rails cost Rail Segments in game.
In this sense, the Turntable doesn't require a completely new Crafting system, but is based upon the existing style of crafting, making it (at least to me) fitting and balanced as it is now.
Functionality wise the Turntable requires updating as well, or at bare minimum would be wise changes to make regarding once more "balance" and "playability". The idea centers around the ability to use Immersive Engineering Power (IF/t) to power Turntables, allowing for use without having to click with Wrench in hand, allowing for a more "realistic" approach. To add to this, while Theoretically it makes the Turntable "harder to use", in a survival situation, if you plan on building a turntable you most likely have power already, considering you can cast rails to begin with. Immersive Engineering and Immersive Railroading have Interplay between them through Fuel, and Machine Power, but this could add another tier of codependency between them.
Turning on power would cause the Turntable to Rotate to the next available rail connection on the table's radius. I would assume you then could use the Wrench to toggle between clockwise or counterclockwise rotation, as to not eliminate the wrench completely, but rather use it as a tool for small functionality..
Why to Update Turntable:
Again, while the community itself is currently focused on many things, I think it's possible that this could be a very well received update/upgrade to an existing concept, while still remaining balanced and fair to the style IR is true to. While all of this is simply suggestion I feel as if it would allow not only more creative flow from content makers (again, allowing them do design their own turntables, etc) but also gives the community a chance to bring the existing turntable up to par with the rest of what IR has to offer.
Thank you so much for reading this, and I would love to hear feedback, both positive and negative on the idea.

I think there should still be an option for the turntable not to use power as "Armstrong" turntables that only used man-power to turn. additionally, some turntables were powered by the locomotives air supply.
While I can agree on the Armstrong designs, maybe having the turntable able to rotate by man-power depending on the size, I think the Air Supply Idea may be too far out from an existing system, but I love that idea nonetheless. Who knows, they could decide to implement anything so maybe that find a way to get that in.
