In the latest release versions of Immersive Railroading, Universal Mod Core, and Track API, I noticed the following behavior:

In the image below, you'll see that the track there has accumulated a snow layer, despite being covered by a roof.

I hope you can just take my word for the fact that this happened, but otherwise I could probably record a video as evidence of this too.
