Either add the features in a separate config file or use a turnkey mod like Quark Oddities. Would allow for adding immersive features that break the game balance more, and would be disable by default if going the config route.

May actually use a combination of both.

A separate config would exist for the "oddities" features, which are disabled by default. However, if the mod is installed, they are enabled by default instead.
