Block-update issues with awakened logs and leaves

Removing rhodo leaves from the middle of a long run of them will not block-update the awakened logs inside it.
Placing rhodo leaves between a core and unawakened logs will not cause them to awaken.
Probably just need to some tick-scheduling here
