I thought the 1.12.2 version might be deprecated, but submitting this for prosperity anyway so others can see.

I set up a plant interactor with a wheat farm underground and gave it a +9 area upgrade. I believe a sanguine rose from dungeon tactics was in range, and it tried to interact with it, which usually gives players 4 seconds of regeneration. This resulted in an instant crash to main menu that repeated every time the world was loaded. I fixed the issue by removing Industrial Foregoing and loaded the world before replacing the mod, you could probably also remove dungeon tactics. Not a huge issue, not sure if it can be fixed, but in case anyone is searching "plant gatherer crash 1.12.2" this report might help avoid this issue.
