It's just unexpected that fertilizer works the same as bone meal in everything except for its use in dispensers. I understand that we already have the Plant Fertilizer, though, so this may not be worth the effort.

For a bit more context as to why this might be of interest: I'm making a personal modpack where I'm disabling all range addons. This basically makes the Plant Fertilizer block into a slightly more convenient dispenser, and so I was seriously considering removing the Plant Fertilizer until I realized that fertilizer couldn't be used in vanilla dispensers.
