The Infinity Backpack is able to duplicate any item that is middle clicked on. The player made an unlisted video here
Update the mod, thanks for reporting tho
The issue still occurs in the latest 1.16.4 version, so you're effectively asking them / us to also change Minecraft version (which can't be done in the pack currently due to incompatibilities with other mods and 1.16.5) to solve the exploit.
Edit: As far as I know you're also the only mod developer that has immediately dropped 1.16.4 support less than a week after the 1.16.5 Forge release. Given just how many mods haven't had a chance to ensure 1.16.5 compatibility, this is a very difficult situation for pack developers to be put in, since we now have to leave a known exploit in our pack (disabling the recipe would be a partial workaround but doesn't resolve it for players who already have one, and we can't remove the item entirely without risking players losing a substantial number of items).
No, they're not all compatible. Structurize (a dependency of MineColonies) most definitely is not.
I wouldn't be saying these things if I hadn't tested them already.

Forge update shouldn't change anything, it was just a minecraft update that patched two concerning bugs
Despite the Forge team stating that, I can assure you that while it is the case for the majority of mods, it isn't the case for all of them.
i have 145 mods and they are working fine and they are mix 1.16.3.4.5 so you just need to go tell minecolonies dev and tel him to just update the version

I don't (and won't) tell any mod dev what to do. I'll gladly point out problems as they occur and let them know when they're putting us in a very difficult position, but it isn't my job to demand things of anybody, and it's important to note the distinction there between pointing out issues and telling them to do something.
It also isn't quite as simple as a version changing in the case of Structurize, due to the way that mod works. It's searching for data that isn't there yet and needs to be created.
