It would be nice to have this back in. Personally, my objective is to unify all HUD elements I can into IGI, which would be made a lot easier by #67, if you didn't want to maintain mod support, yourself.

Native support will always be better, but I didn't have the time to finish up the proposed API interface to allow other mods to add custom tags.

It's good to know that it's on your list, at least.
