Short description:

When holding backspace in a search box in the terminal UI it would be convenient for the text to incrementally delete. Currently deletion requires repeatedly pressing backspace.

Sure, that should be possible to implement.

FYI, to quickly delete all contents right now, you can right click the text box to select everything, and press backspace once.

This might have been a bug in the past, but seems to be working fine for me now.
