does this have to be something configured on the other mods side? it seems to work fine with blockus.

This is a bit late, but there should be a flag in the config for targeting all screen-handled blocks. Could you try enabling this flag and testing with the noted mods?

I gave it a shot with targetAllScreenHandledBlocks set to true, but it still doesn't work with Expanded Storage chests.
