I have this exact same issue on a Lenovo 700 Ideapad. R works but Middle mouse does not. I tried several mice and using the touchpads middle mouse click. No luck.Have no problem with it on my desktop.

edit: I should also state that I have only invtweaks installed to narrow down problems. Still exists.

Open Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Centre and then configure your Wheel button to Middle-click. Worked for me, hope it helps :)

I dont have an "Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center." Actually I just realized it does work in this version. I meant to be posting that it does not work in 1.10.2.
