Sometimes, items appear in slots where they shouldn’t upon sorting

Sometimes, items appear in my hand, the crafting grid, or other slots when sorting my inventory, and oftentimes, I can sort as many times as I want without changing my inventory. This doesn’t always happen and seems dependent on what’s in my inventory.
Similar to issues #66 and #283; however, I’m not on a server: I’m playing single-player.
