[Question] Does #586 apply to supporting Sorting for modded chests?

Minecraft Version: 1.12.2
Inventory Tweaks Version: 1.64+dev146.2180b27
Issue: Sorting does not work with Tinker's Workbench, but it works with Vanilla Workbench.

This was originally an issue, but is now a question. Does issue #586 apply to this? InvTweaks' sorting also does not work with BiblioCraft and Applied Energistics chests.
