[feature request] Uninstaller

Note for admin who doesn't read posts to the end before answering/closing:
If you have read the whole post you would notice that the installer makes these folders/files which should be deleted if you want to uninstall Iris:
.minecraft\versions\iris-fabric-loader-0.14.6-1.19
.minecraft\iris-reserved
.minecraft\config\iris.properties
This is not a bug report but a uninstaller feature request.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I downloaded "Universal JAR" installer. It detected Minecraft and offered to install Iris & Sodium, 1.19, in .minecraft folder. Didn't select install as Fabric Mod. Performance dropped to unplayable 5-10 FPS.
Describe the solution you'd like
Running installer again should detect current installation and offer uninstallation.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Manually deleting files which I don't know where Iris put them.
Additional context
I am using Tlauncher with Fabric installation out of the box.
I see that there is now a new version added in .minecraft\versions\iris-fabric-loader-0.14.6-1.19
There is also a folder .minecraft\iris-reserved and .minecraft\config\iris.properties
I have deleted them all and I'm not sure if it is needed to delete something else.
Removing the jar uninstalls the mod. If you really care that much, go in, find and delete the files yourself. You could have done so in the time it took you to write this useless issue.
The only useless things are you salty devs responding without reading.
I speak for everyone when I say:
- We do not support piracy. Buy Minecraft legitimately or no support will be given.
- An uninstaller for a Minecraft mod, which adds a few KB files, if even + one JAR is unnecessary. If a user truly wanted to remove these files they could delete them on their own.
- Simply because it is a feature request, on the wrong repository, mind you, doesn't mean it will be considered.
- You presume that I have a pirated copy because you're all wrongly infromed that TLauncher is for pirated Minecraft, it's a launcher.
- Having an uninstaller for software which has installer would be such a shock. I have never seen a program with uninstaller, especially after a dev gave an answer to delete .minecraft\iris-reserved to uninstall mod. So some of you say remove JAR, some say remove iris-reserved. I would say this would be a reason to have an uninstaller since devs don't know what to remove if you want to uninstall.
TLauncher breaks a lot of things by patching the game in ways that it should not.
Please provide evidence for the statement above because I cannot find anything to confirm it.
This has not been reported aith a legitimate copy of the game, and uninstalling is as simple as deleting the iris-reserved folder in your .minecraft directory.
- If it's a wrong repo it could've been said in the first place without salt and piracy accusations
Thanks for not answering this:
I have deleted them all and I'm not sure if it is needed to delete something else.
And final thank you to all of you for making assumptions without reading. Have a great day 👍
We don’t provide support for tlauncher regardless of if you own the game. Use a legitimate launcher.
Not everyone on this thread is a developer, and they’re also all correct. If you used the installer, deleting iris reserved and the iris profile is the way to go. If you installed manually, you just need to remove the jar. In both cases, you should delete the config files.
We won’t be providing an installer because there’s not a need for one, deleting these files is straightforward and an uninstaller would likely just add confusion. This has already been made abundantly clear by others in this thread, and we’d like to ask that you stop persisting in your request.
