Complementary Shaders: disabling and enabling shaders causes visual error

What happened?
Whenever I disable and re-enable complementary shaders it bugs out (see screenshot) and spams into the log (see log output)

Running on quilt version 0.17.0
EDIT: if it means anything I was using the default keybind on k to switch between and it causes the error, it corrects itself on game reload, but I can test toggling in the iris screen if needed
EDIT 2: Turning them off and on in the shader menu breaks it as well, and reloading the world doesn't work, game restart is required
