Glint Strength still doesn't work even if shaderpacks implement gl_Color.a

After it was closed, I went to discuss with Emin to see if he had implemented gl_Color.a as noted in the comments. He stated that he had, in fact, implemented this in the latest version of Complementary Reimagined (r2.3), but the issue still persists on the latest version of Iris. I've also tested with the latest version of BSL (v8.2.04) where it also doesn't work, but it DOES work with the latest version of Super Duper Vanilla. I talked with Emin some more, and he told me that his code does the exact same thing as SDV does, so he's attributing it as an Iris bug.

I did test r2.3 with only iris 1.6.8, sodium 0.5.2, and fabric api 0.87.0 installed with no changes. After doing some more testing, glint adjustments aren't working on either held items or equipped armor. I also reset the shader to stock settings to see if that would do anything, but to no avail. I'll wait to see if r5.0 fixes anything.

Just checked Reimagined 5.0, iris_GlintAlpha is being set correctly and it all works. In what instance does it break?

Also, if you don't mind, would you be able to test without other mods installed?
