It seems very unlikely that this is an issue caused by Iris or Sodium instead of some external driver / display configuration. I cannot reproduce this issue either.
Could you provide some screenshot of game, as well as your monitor setting screen if possible
I can in the morning but like I said I can feel the difference very significantly. I went into windowed mode and and locked it to 60fps and it felt no different from fullscreen unlimited. My monitor also goes black for a couple seconds when tabbing in/out, normally that means its changing resolution or refresh rate. I think the problem is that there isnt any fullscreen resolution mode picker unlike in vanilla.
I did just have a thought that you may need to change then game resolution setting, I believe you can change the refresh rate in game but changing the resolution
Press Shift+P while in video settings to access the vanilla fullscreen resolution slider. This is not an iris issue; it sometimes can happen with sodium.
