[Bug] Fire Aspect isn't working as intended

Observed behaviour
I installed this mod recently into a modpack I'm building just for fun and I had a previously enchanted sword with Fire Aspect II. Since I added the Spells n' Spellbooks mod, the animals do get burned, but they don't cook their drops (cows, pigs, sheep, the usual).
Is this intended and I'm missing something essential?
Expected behaviour
The meat gets cooked.
Steps to reproduce
- Enchant Sword with Fire Aspect;
- Wack some animals
- Get uncooked meat :(
