[Bug] ice spiders spawn when there are mega torches and they can see/aggro through walls

Observed behaviour
I'm on FTB Evolution and ice spiders keep spawning around my house, which is in a snowy slopes biome, even though I have mega torches. It's really annoying because they're just really disturbing. I'll just be in my house minding my own business and then one spawns and instantly aggros on me through walls and is trying to get to me through my walls. Really annoying. The sounds they make are also really disturbing. I'd love a way to turn them off or a way to keep them from spawning or an arachnophobia mode.
Expected behaviour
Mega torches keep them from spawning and they don't aggro through walls
Steps to reproduce
- be in a snowy slopes biome at night
- mind your own business in your house
- GIANT ICE SPIDER SPAWNS AND TRIES TO LUNGE AT YOU THROUGH YOUR WALL

the same thing is happening to me. torches everywhere; adequate light levels to stop everything but the giant mega monster from spawning on my tundra farm. it's enough that my friend straight up will not play with me because of the unstoppable spider attacks. i haven't gone anywhere near an infested ruin or done anything at all with any other part of this mod. it is truly just, i spawned in, got all cozy, then it snowed and all hell broke loose.
horrible, horrible monster. literally damaging my IRL friendships. i have entomophobia and i just dig a hole into the ground and lock myself in so i can't see anything when the spider comes. horrible. mods, please PATCH THIS
This issue is arising for me too, with mega torches, and appears to happen in any snowy biome, and this is in All The Mods 10 (1.21.1). I have really bad arachnophobia, and would very much like it if this could be fixed. I tried removing iron's from the modpack to play it, but it breaks without it, so I'm just not playing for now.
