Say you play a modpack with lots of recipes you haven't discovered yet, while the vanilla shows new mod recipes it's very rarely the case, and it can be annoying when you get stuck because you have no idea what to do next, so what this option would do is make you see everything you have collected at least once show all the varients of that item, it would be super cool if you did it.
