[1.16.4] JEI searches for item when LETTING GO of left click, instead of just when clicking it

If you hold left click while not hovering over an item, then hover over an item and then let go of left click, it searches for that item.

The first part is me just clicking once. It searches the recipe for the Cave-finder, then I let go of left click and it searches for Flint.
In the second one, I hold left click over nothing and let go over leather, and it searches for the leather.
This is using jei-1.16.4-7.6.1.63.
