Items not given to me when 'give' config option set to 'inventory'

Sure, I thought i'd let you know what I'll put in brackets of what screenshot file to open up first, secondly etc so it makes a bit more sense, trying to make it as easy as I can haha. So first I went onto JIE and downloaded it (JEI.png) and then my friend told me I had to download this configure file for it to work, so I downloaded that (Configured file.png) and I then placed them inside my mods folder. After loading up, I go into creative and make sure my 'give' option is set to inventory (choosing inventory.png) and then I go back and press save and quit. I open up the creative menu and on the right hand side i'd chose a block to use and instead of dropping it into my inventory/hand it pops up with the recipe instead (recipe.png) Sorry if this was confusing to read as this is my first time ever sending a screenshot walkthrough of what I've done before over gmail haha. I hope this helps and is easy to read/understand the steps I've done

I tried this on the latest version of JEI and don't have any issues.
