with the 1.18.2 version of the mod if you accidentally change the keybind for closing jei to left click, which is easy to accidentally do by double clicking, you will have to close down the game and reenter to change your keybind as you cannot do so ingame. very annoying, it also is annoying with o as when searching for anything with an o it will close jei instead of searching for it, which is why I went to change it to something you wouldn't normally use like one of the number pad keys.

By default, the key for this is Control + O in order to make it hard to press by accident.
I am not sure why your pack had it set to just O, I agree that's too easy to press.
