[Crash]: Clicking "Move Items" or simply escaping a recipe causes game to crash

Steps to Reproduce the Crash

  1. Open Inventory/Working Bench
  2. Choose any item and click on it to see its recipe
  3. Either click "Move Items" to craft the item or sometimes its enough to close the recipe to crash the game
  4. Game saves and closes

I'm experiencing a similar issue when trying to craft using Sophisticated Backpacks. This is with my own modpack, MC version 1.19.2.

Behavior is the same:

  1. Have backpack with crafting grid upgrade
  2. Click the "+" in JEI to move recipe items to crafting grid
  3. Game saves and closes instantly

Normal crafting stations work fine.

For now I have resolved the issue by reverting to an earlier version of JEI (jei-1.19.2-forge-11.6.0.1019.jar)

That said, I don't think JEI isn't solely to blame as when I tried a completely clean instance with only JEI + Sophisticated Backpacks, there was no issue. Something in the more recent version + some other mod is causing the issue but I couldn't tell which as I have over 200 mods in the pack.

Please open a separate issue, it is a problem with Sophisticated Backpacks and the original issue here is with Crafting Station.
