[Bug]: [Fabric 1.20.1] Modern Industrialization Steam drill - broken behaviour

Steps to Reproduce the Bug

MC version: Fabric 1.20.1
JEI version: jei-1.20.1-fabric-15.18.0.80 and on, bug persists in latest JEI versions as well
Bugged item: Steam drill from Modern Industrialization mod.
Other mods that may be important:

  • Modern-Industrialization-1.8.4
  • fabric-api-0.92.5+1.20.1
  • emi-1.1.4+1.20.1+fabric
  • ForgeConfigAPIPort-v8.0.2-1.20.1-Fabric
  • iris-1.7.6+mc1.20.1
  • PuzzlesLib-v8.1.29-1.20.1-Fabric
  • sodium-fabric-0.5.13+mc1.20.1
  • etc., >200 mods total

Full mod list and/or whole modpack.zip might be provided on demand, if bug stays non-reproducible.

Expected Behavior

Steam Drill can be used in both mods: 3x3 digging as default and single block digging by pressing Shift+LMB

Actual Behavior

By default Steam drill can be used in 2 modes: default digging of 3x3 square and single block digging by holding Shift ("Sneaking" buton). After updating of JEI mod to version 15.18.0.80 or higher single block mining mode on Steam drill breaks. Single block is highlighted, as it should be, but when Shift+LMB is pressed - nothing happens.
