Error: Queried ingredient too early

Issue description

(This is not the only script, but I don't think the other ones would be relevant to this particular issue. However, they are needed for a portion of the main script (the one with the error) to work, so here are the additional two scripts: https://pastebin.com/VeyvAddZ)
Line it appears to crash on: mods.jei.JEI.hideItem(item:environmental:fried_egg);
Server itself doesn't crash - it just sends the error log "Error: Queried ingredient too early" to chat.
Steps to reproduce
Load the script that crashes in a multiplayer server. Has not crashed in singleplayer.

Other relevant information
Commenting out all the lines involving JEI makes it work fine (except for the fact that, of course, now it no longer hides anything)
