What happened?

Playing StoneBlock 3.

Using the Iron Hammer (3x3x1) I aimed at the center block's top surface thinking I'd mine a horizontal 3x3.
Really annoying when you are trying to carve out a room and parts of the floor are also getting mined.


Also, The while using the Diamond Impact Hammer (5x5x3), I intuitively aimed at the center of a 5x5, but the blocks mined were one higher, so I ended up with a layer at the bottom I needed to mine and a 5x3 hole in my ceiling.
