zoom momentum continues after zooming (1.20.1, forge)

I was testing out the mod and when I stopped zooming in the momentum continued and now if I move my camera at all it keeps going at the same speed forever until I move my mouse in the opposite direction.. I've uninstalled the mod and it is still happening please someone helpppp
