Problem with the enchantment mending

Steps to reproduce the issue
- Create or use a hammer from Just Hammers with the enchantments Mending and Fortune.
- Mine any ore that drops XP.
- While mining, XP is picked up and starts repairing the tool via Mending.
- The mining action is interrupted or reset when this happens.
- Repeat the same with a Silk Touch hammer and the issue does not occur, probably because no XP is dropped.
Description of the issue you are having
Every time I use my hammer with Fortune III and Mending, and I mine ores that drop XP (like quartz or coal), the mining animation gets interrupted or reset. It seems that when the XP is absorbed and starts repairing the hammer through Mending, the mining action is delayed or canceled.
Sometimes it lets me continue mining, but other times I have to wait until the XP finishes repairing the hammer before I can mine again. This doesn't happen with a hammer that has Silk Touch, because there's no XP involved.
