Aquamarine Mob Sensing causes Blindness

Whilst using a fresh world with only a minimap and KAGIC loaded, I used an aquamarine gem to scout for a sapphire placed around 10 blocks from the aquamarine. Upon the aquamarine spotting the Sapphire, the screen became blackened with what is close to the Blindness effect in the base game and the Sapphire became a white silhouette rather than a white outline.
The player can look away from the mob sensed by the Aquamarine and have the effects stop, but looking at the mob again will resume the blindness.
Reloading the world nor poofing all Aquamarines do not end the blindness effects.

This has, in the five minutes the world has been loaded, triggered three times by the following, all of which had the same effects.
- One Sapphire, 10 blocks Away
- One Pig, between 40 and 50 blocks Away
- One Creeper, 20-25 blocks Away
