It appears that the new deepslate slabs are not being affected by the mod (they're also missing in the list in shared/src/main/resources/data/kleeslabs/kleeslabs_compat/minecraft.json)
i.e.

• deepslate_brick_slab
• deepslate_tile_slab
• polished_deepslate_slab
• cobbled_deepslate_slab
