is there a way to disable the custom main menu screen?

i am wanting to use the essential mod which adds easy multiplayer joining without the hassle of setting up servers but to do that i need to use custom menu buttons which seem to be covered up and inaccessible by the custom last days of humanity menu. is there a way to fix this? thanks in advance
