Featue Request: Redstone Compatibility

It would be nice if they worked with redstone
IE
Opening/Closing with Redstone.
Getting a comparator value based on their open/close/half open state would also be nice.
Thank you for the delightful mod.
Every version should already open or close already when redstone is being used. But I will try adding it so they can work with a comparator
It will get added in the newest version for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 forge and fabric
Yeah it doesnt yet. I mad some addition to the code so that should all work in the new update. That will come out soon.
Fantastic to hear the comparator support will be added.
My apologies I missed that the redstone already worked because I only tried powering them through a block. As shown below.
However directly powering them does work.
Not how I assumed based on vanilla redstone behavior they would work.
This being an example of vanilla responding to weak redstone
That last image shows it working with a normal door, the doors state was updated by the lever.
I am happy to open a new issue as well, but on the redstone topic the shutters also do not trigger observers expect for the shutter that was powered.
Makes sense, took another look and yeah they really do look similar lol my bad.
Also trapdoors can be waterlogged, any chance shutters could be as well?
I dont really think so. I don't see a point for it why it would need that. But if you have a reason why it would be good i can look into it
That is fair.
Well reason I asked was because folks in vanilla often use trapdoors like below in things like mob grinders for water flows.
So would be neat to use these in places where trapdoors otherwise do not work or you are looking for the connected behavior of your shutters.
This just showing what the trapdoors do in this case, and as mentioned above you would be able to have a more compact build if shutters worked because of their coupling ability
Awesome, thank you.
I notice 1.20.1 Forge got a backport, but fabric did not, any reason for that?
